TA Centennial | Program of Activities

Throughout the day   Check-in, refreshments, and mingling

Attendees are invited to check in for the event, pick up their name tags, and enjoy light refreshments at the Michigan Branch of Telluride Association (MBTA; 1735 Washtenaw Ave., Ann Arbor, MI).  The house will be available throughout the day as a meeting spot.

Saturday, October 15

9 AM                            Campus tours led by Michigan Branchmembers

If you would like to take a leisurely stroll through the University of Michigan’s Central Campus, please sign up at the registration table any time prior to the departure time.  Participants should meet in the front hallway at the Michigan Branch.


10 AM                          Past, Present, and Future of Telluride Finances and Programs

Meet in the Michigan Branch front room, across from the library, for a discussion with Jack Newell, DS56, and Denis Clark, DS69 CB72 TA73.

Please note that dinner will be hosted at the Michigan Union (530 S. State St., Ann Arbor, MI), and travel time should be allowed.  


5:30 PM-7 PM               Strolling Dinner

Dinner will be hosted in the Rogel Ballroom, which is located on the second floor of the Michigan Union.  The Union is located at 530 S. State St. in Ann Arbor.  Parking is available in lots located at both 508 Thompson St., and 324 Maynard St.  The Union is about a 15 minute walk from MBTA.  If you need assistance with transportation, please contact a planning committee member or the welcome table attendee.
 

7:30 PM                        Keynote address by Esther Dyson, SP67: Travel as Education

Ms. Dyson’s keynote address will take place in the Rogel Ballroom at the Michigan Union.  She will discuss the connections between travel and education.


9 PM-10:30 PM              Post-keynote Reception

Please join us in the Rogel Ballroom at the Michigan Union for coffee and dessert and an opportunity to discuss Ms. Dyson’s address.  
 
 
10 PM-1 AM                           Closing Celebration
 
Unwind with fellow Telluriders downtown at Arbor Brewing Company (ABC).  TA has reserved ABC's Tap Room and Beer Cellar for this private event.  For those of you who prefer a beverage other than beer-- not to worry!  ABC offers a full bar.  ABC is located at 114 E. Washington St., which is approximately a ten minute walk from the Michigan Union.  Open bar.

Sunday, October 16

9 AM-12 PM                 Drop-in Brunch

Brunch offerings will be available in the Michigan Branch dining room.  Please stop in to bid friends farewell prior to departing Ann Arbor.
